EMISSION SYSTEM

GRG designed and built an advanced catalytic converter production system over 36 months, achieving 11 jobs per hour. The system features an impressive 42-meter weld seam and 102 sheet metal components, including seven stand-alone weld cells and twelve connected cells with six handling robots per line. Each weld cell is equipped with fixtures holding up to 50 clamping units. GRG's unique traveling fixtures ensured part traceability and minimized weld distortion by securing products during movements between stations. Collaborating closely with teams from Germany, the US, and Mexico, GRG refurbished weld cells from a customer facility in Sweden and secured the product datums structure. This joint venture highlighted GRG’s innovative approach to efficiency and quality.
