Retrofitting of Heavy-Duty Machines
The specialists of WEMA VOGTLAND Technology GmbH draw on their extensive knowledge and experience also for retrofitting heavy-duty machines. The larger the machine, the more economical is a modernisation in comparison to an investment in new machinery.
When buying a new heavy-duty machine, not only the machine price but also the considerable cost for the foundation must be taken into account. With a retrofit instead the customer gets for comparably low cost a technically up-to-date, as-new machine which fits perfectly in his existing layout. In addition, the scope of modifications offered by us includes an extension of the base for more X axis travel.
Thus WEMA VOGTLAND provides a full range of services independently of the machine make and type:
- Replacement of wear components such as bearings, rails, scrapers …
- Overhauling of peripheral equipment like coolant system, chip conveyor, guardings …
- Overhauling of transmission motors, pumps, lubrication, hydrostatics …
- Controls retrofit including new drives, control cabinet, control system …
- Relocation including replacement of fixing elements
- Extension of the base or column
- Advice on the construction of foundations
